Note: An Ernest William Patchett enlisted for general service on the 8th of November 1916. His parents were Thomas William Patchett (born 1871, eldest son of Joseph Patchett/Elizabeth Dring) and Rose (nee Simpson). Ernest's address was 44 South Street, Blenheim, and he was a coach painter. He visited the Medical Board in Trentham on the 27th Of November 1916, assembled in Wellington on the 28th of November, but was discharged on the 29th of November in the same year, with appendicial adhesions and neurasthenia. He died in 1954.
A Sydney Patchett died of wounds in WWI, and Archie Patchett (Blenheim) also died of wounds.
